Port Hope Candlelight Festival

December 24, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:00 am, repeating until January 2, 2021

The Port Hope Candlelight Festival is an annual holiday experience that invites you to come and explore the seasonal transformation of downtown Port Hope. The 2020 event has been modified to include both virtual and self-guided exploration activities. As such, the marketplace is going virtual and the Candlelight and park lighting ceremony have been cancelled. This year’s Candlelight Festival invites you to shop local, explore the light display in Memorial Park and art installations in Lent Lane. Take a free carriage ride in our beautifully decorated downtown (on select days), check out the Capitol Theatre’s Festival of Trees and stay active throughout the season with a series of festive activities that can safely be done both at-home and around town! The Port Hope Candlelight Festival is delivered in partnership by the Municipality of Port Hope, Heritage Business District and Critical Mass Art.
