Two Artists Featured at the John M. Parrott Art Gallery
December 23, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every day that begins at 1:00 pm, repeating until January 7, 2021
Artist Terry Veevers and photographer Bert Jenkins will be featured at the John M. Parrott Art Gallery through December and early January.
The Veevers exhibit, in Gallery 1, represents the first solo show for this Prince Edward County artist who works in oils. His exhibit is entitled, “As I see it”. Mr. Veevers began his art practice after retiring from his business in design and manufacturing horse-drawn vehicles and as a horse-trainer (hunter-jumper and carriage driving). His current focus is portraiture, which he pursues in a studio on his farm in The County.
In Gallery 2, you’ll find the landscape photography of Mr. Jenkins, a retired engineer living in Prince Edward County. His exhibit is entitled, “Turn but a Stone”. A self-described documenter of landscapes, his photos feature a strong emphasis on wilderness, including such venues as the Bruce Trail, Frontenac, eastern Ontario, the wilder side of The County, the Galapagos, the maritime east coast, Ireland and the Arctic.
