The Prince Edward County Arts Council (County Arts) is pleased to announce the return of the 4th annual Wind & Water Writing Contest! This year’s theme is Transformation. We are asking entrants from the Quinte and Prince Edward County regions to interpret the theme in unique, exciting and creative ways for a host of prizes, recognition and celebration. The submission deadline is March 31st, 2022.
Quinte area artists are invited to submit their artwork to the Parrott Gallery’s juried show, Shifting Narratives. We encourage artwork in all media and hope for a variety of unique interpretations of this theme. Each artist may submit a maximum of two pieces. Works must be original and must not have been previously displayed or exhibited in the Quinte area. The entry fee is $20.
Collage is an extremely versatile medium; just add imagination and cut! Paper Cuts is an exhibition that takes an in-depth and fresh look at collage. This exhibit, presented by artist Elayne Windsor, will take viewers on a journey of color and texture. Often mistaken for paintings, Elayne’s work uses various types of paper (maps, newspaper, gift wrap, sewing patterns, etc.) to create details and spark imagination.
