Weekly African Drumming Classes at QAC

Every Friday at the QAC Cultural hub – join us for classes and learn to play African drums such as djembe, kpanlogo, and gome. Learn proper technique, learn several parts to a song, and join in an ensemble that will shake the house! The Fight for the Bloomfield Quaker Meetinghouse

Despite their skepticism about the use of civil courts and their deeply held belief in pacifism, a theological schism among North American Quakers at the end of the 19th century led to divided families, the acceptance of physical violence, and protracted litigation over the ownership of the Bloomfield meetinghouse. It ripped apart their community in Prince Edward County and across Ontario.
