Art Journaling for Kids with Angela Lavender
County Arts Lab 206 Main Street, Unit 1G, PictonKids' Creation Club returns to the County Arts Lab with a new and unique Art Journaling course with Angela Lavender! In this 6-week artistic adventure, young artists will explore a variety of mixed media and layering techniques as they create their very own art journal. For ages 5-8 or 9-12.
Basic and Intermediate Acrylic Pouring at County Arts Lab
County Arts Lab 206 Main Street, Unit 1G, PictonCome and pour your heart out with Fluid Artist Sherry Heyliger! Acrylic Pouring is a simple and fun way to create beautiful abstract art. Sherry will share a robust suite of fluid art techniques, teaching participants the basic chemistry, and beginner and intermediate techniques, of acrylic pouring.
Songwriting and Creative Dance for Kids
County Arts Lab 206 Main Street, Unit 1G, PictonThis is a new offering - a collaborative 6-week songwriting and choreography project! Every week, Musician Kat Burns will guide participants as they explore sound and sonic textures through experimentation with a variety of effects pedals and keyboards. For 3 of the 6 classes, Kat will be joined by Dancer and Choreographer Arwyn Carpenter, who will lead participants through creative dance exercises.
Cloth Colouring and Hand Stitching with Bethany Garner
County Arts Lab 206 Main Street, Unit 1G, PictonJoin textile and fibre-focused artist educator Bethany Garner for a new course exploring two unique textile art techniques at the County Arts Lab! In the first two classes, participants will learn to build colour on cloth to create their own stunning, one-of-a-kind palettes of colour, design, and texture. The second half of the course will focus on the art of the handmade stitch.
Creative Movement for Adults at County Arts Lab

Artist Instructor Catelyn Thornton will guide participants in a range of activities aimed at bolstering their physical and mental health while engaging their imagination, broadening their understanding of the artistic elements of movement, and connecting with others in a fun, low-pressure environment.

During the first class at the County Arts Lab, participants will be introduced to the basics of landscape composition. For the second class, participants will head outdoors where a peaceful natural setting will serve as their muse.
