Hugh Brewster

Author, historian and playwright Hugh Brewster has written 15 books, the latest of which is Unsinkable Lucile: How A Farm Girl Became the Queen of Fashion and Survived the Titanic. His play Last Day, Last Hour: Canada’s Great War on Trial, was performed in Cobourg’s historic Victoria Hall courtroom in 2018 as the centrepiece of Armistice18, Canada’s largest commemoration of the World War I armistice. On May 13, he will present A Hall So Grand: A Celebration of 160 Years of Victoria Hall in Words, Images, and Song on behalf of the Victoria Hall Volunteers.
