A Day Trip to Bloomfield

1. THE EDDIE HOTEL AND FARM
15786 Loyalist Parkway

This idyllic 1860 farmhouse and iconic “Red Barn” hosts a number of shows and festivals throughout the year. It’s also the new home of the Wellington Farmers’ Market. Every Saturday from 9am to 1:30 pm (starting in mid-May), more than 35 local farmers, artisans and makers come to sell everything from farm-fresh produce to hand-crafted quilts.

3. THE MILL POND PARK AND HENRY LEAVENS

4. MAIN STREET
Bloomfield Town Hall, 289 Main Street

Begin at the Town Hall and read the first of nine interpretative history panels that reveal significant moments that shaped Bloomfield’s historic Main Street. Along the way, shop for homemade treats inside one of its storied properties like the Saylor House Café (1875) named for Town Clerk Adam H. Saylor, and Slickers Ice Cream – housed in one of the County’s first inns.

5. BAXTER ARTS CENTRE
3 Stanley Street

Once a canning factory cafeteria, “The Baxter” is a non-profit organization that hosts a variety of programs, workshops and fine art classes. Check their calendar at:
