Women are invited to sing with Northumberland Chorus for our Annual Christmas Chorus. It's a great way to experience a capella singing! No singing training or experience is required. We meet Monday evenings.

Prince Edward Community Care invites seniors to join Krys Baklinski and Michael Gelman for a 12-week in-person tai chi series at the Bloomfield Town Hall. Classes for beginners will run from 9:45am-10:45am and classes for intermediates will run from 11:00am-12:00pm. The cost is $12.00 per person.

Tell Your Story is a course for the storytellers in all of us. Over six weekly, 90-minute sessions, participants (ages 18+) will uncover and explore the creation of their own 10-minute play through prompts, writing exercises, group discussion and dramaturgical feedback.

Prince Edward Community Care invites seniors to join Ruth Dwight for a 6-week in-person drum circle series coming this fall. Drums will be supplied, in addition to many other percussion instruments including claves, maracas, and tambourines.

Minds in Motion® is a community-based social program that incorporates physical activity and mental stimulation for people with early to mid-stage signs dementia and their care partners. Combining physical activity and mental stimulation, Minds in Motion unfolds to laughter and chatter, with new friendships forming and stories being shared. This is an eight-week program.

Meet a St. John Ambulance Therapy Dog and owner to learn more about the program and enjoy some pet therapy. All dogs are child-friendly. Location: Reading Room at the Cobourg Public Library

This 6-week beginner to intermediate photography course on portraiture aims to equip participants (ages 18+) with essential skills in portrait photography. Throughout the course, students will learn about various types of portraits, essential equipment and settings, natural and artificial lighting techniques, composition, posing, and creative approaches.

Whether you’re experienced with crochet, or just starting, please join us as we create crochet, learn new skills, and work together. These workshops are hosted by local artist, Emebet Belete.  Emebet’s current art project is Bridging Communities, a large-scale art installation.

The 10-week autumn session of Baby and Me is back at our two libraries (Campbellford and Hastings)! Help your baby (0-12 months of age) develop their pre-literacy and social skills. Learn new songs and remember old ones. Connect with other caregivers. 

In this 6-week colour theory course, Julie Seddon will teach participants (ages 18+) traditional colour theory exercises such as the colour wheel and monochromatic scale. Drawing from art history, students will come to understand acrylic paints' range of effects and create a series of studies to put what they learn into practice.

Your Warkworth Library has a great after school workshop for kids ages 7-12 just in time for Hallowe'en! Join artist and educator Oceanna Jewell to paint spooky Hallowe'en Jack O'Lanterns on beach rocks and to contribute to a group painting activity. It's a great way to meet new friends and learn some painting skills!

Join Horticulturist and Landscape Designer, Charlie Dobbin, for three regenerative gardening and growing talks at the Aron Theatre Co-op. The fee is $10 per presentation or $25 for all three.

As part of the Seniors’ program at the Cobourg Community Centre, the Club is a friendly space, geared to photographers aged 55 and over. At each meeting, we enjoy looking at member-submitted photographs, and provide supportive and constructive feedback. Learning is an integral part of the agenda, and we discuss various techniques or watch instructive videos.

Children and their caregivers will enjoy stories, finger rhymes, felt stories, and music during this interactive program. This is a drop-in program for ages 19 months to 3 years. Located in the first floor Children's Program Room.

Don is a member of the Willow Beach Field Naturalists, Peterborough Field Naturalists and Ontario Field Ornithologists. He is a retired Professor from Fleming College.
