The Annual Northumberland Ribfest and Music Festival is back, and it’s an event you won’t want to miss! Held at Victoria Park in Cobourg, this 16th annual celebration promises more visitors, great food, and fantastic music! Bring your lawn chair or blanket and claim your spot in front of the bandshell in Victoria Park. There is entertainment every afternoon.

Jim Watts: Girl Reporter on Stage
Jim Watts: Girl Reporter is a fascinating exploration of the experience of trailblazing youth who illegally flocked to Spain to fight fascism, attempting to stop its march across Europe, in the mid-1930s. Jean ‘Jim’ Watts was the only woman to join Canada’s regiment in Spain, the MacKenzie-Papineaus.

Graveyard & Gallows Walking Tour
Alongside an experienced guide, explore the grounds of Macaulay Heritage Park, the historic estate of Reverend William Macaulay, who is credited with giving Picton its name. Eric St-Laurent at The Prince Edward County Jazz Festival
Eric got his start as a session guitarist with producers Rick Haworth and Marc Pérusse in Montreal, recording albums for Quebec pop and rock artists while playing jazz at night. Through a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, he later studied improvisation in New York with Wayne Krantz and Adam Rogers for two years, following which he worked as a freelance musician and radio jingle writer in Berlin for a decade.

Kitten Shower at Warkworth Library
The Kitten Shower is a chance to meet kittens from the Spicy Kitten Rescue and support the efforts of their rescue and the Small Town Cat Project. It works just like a baby shower - we'll have games and some giveaways (and lots of kittens to cuddle) - and you can bring shower gifts of kitten food, litter, cat toys, cleaning products (like garbage bags, antibacterial wipes, or paper towels) to help out the efforts of the rescue.
