Prince Edward Community Care invites seniors to join Krys Baklinski and Michael Gelman for a 12-week in-person tai chi series at the Bloomfield Town Hall. Classes for beginners will run from 9:45am-10:45am and classes for intermediates will run from 11:00am-12:00pm. The cost is $12.00 per person.

In 1940, Farley Mowat enlisted with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment – the famous ‘Hasty Ps’ – and set off to war. The young lieutenant was one of the first to land in the Allied invasion of Sicily - a physically and mentally taxing campaign. Mowat described his war service in his memoir And No Birds Sang. It’s a haunting, honest and sometimes hilarious account of a brave young man confronting and overcoming his worst fears.
