A multimedia journalist, artist, and writer from Kenhté:ke (Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory), Shelby is interested in capturing our intrinsic connections to culture, land (place), and one another – especially through stories of Indigenous people in Canada. Shelby completed her degree in Fine Arts before pursuing a diploma in Photojournalism from Loyalist College and a certificate in Mohawk Language and Culture through Queen’s University and Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na. Shelby continues to learn and practice her language every day.
