An Afternoon with Sally Armstrong

April 27 @ 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM

$25.00

Sally Armstrong is an award-winning author, journalist, and human rights activist who has decades of experience on the ground working with women in underprivileged and harsh environments in Afghanistan, Rwanda, Bosnia, Somalia, Iraq, South Sudan, Jordan, and Israel. She has witnessed the power of women to achieve change.

Join us for an afternoon with Sally as she shares stories, including tales from Outspoken, her recent collaboration with Sima Samar, published on February 27. Outspoken is a memoir of Afghanistan’s Sima Samar: medical doctor, public official, founder of schools and hospitals, nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize, and a continued advocate of women and girls. Sima has all the inside stories about the dishonesty and corruption within Afghanistan. As a former minister in the Afghan government, she knows many of the key players and dynamics of modern Afghanistan.

Sally’s books will be available for purchase with the opportunity to have your book signed by the author at the event.
