Po’Boy Jeffreys at Old Church Theatre
November 23 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Po’Boy Jeffreys is a Roots Music revivalist. Through his commanding performance of finger picked acoustic guitar, foot percussion, kazoo, as well as soft and sometimes harsh vocals, he evokes the nostalgic sounds and ambience of Southern Country, Pre-War Blues, and Ragtime. Boasting an energetic, young and unique style, Po’Boy invites audiences to reminisce about a bygone era of traditional Folk and Roots which lays as the bedrock of American and Canadian music.
Based out of Toronto, Po’Boy Jeffreys has performed solo or with bands since 2014. In that time, he’s played hundreds of events of countless varieties, he performed at Mariposa Folk Festival 2023, was the runner-up at the Toronto Blues Society’s Talent Search in 2023, performed at 10 festivals for the Northern Heat Rib Series, and has released several records in both physical and online formats.
