WBFN Speaker Series – Bird Tracks & Signs

October 18 @ 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Free

Join Willow Beach Field Naturalist member Don McLeod, who will present photos which feature bird tracks and signs from Central Ontario. While mammal tracks are more frequently observed, being at the right place and time will often snag a bird track photo. Examples of bird sign include scat, nests, tree cavities, feathers and kill sites. All of these observations add to the naturalist’s toolbox in the quest to identify and study birds.

Don is a member of the Willow Beach Field Naturalists, Peterborough Field Naturalists and Ontario Field Ornithologists. He is a retired Professor from Fleming College. The photos in this presentation are from Don’s personal collection.

Doors open at 7:00 pm, meeting starts at 7:30 pm. This event is open to the public.
