Chase Cha Painting Performance at Belleville Library

Belleville Public Library Courtyard Pinnacle Street, Belleville

Chase Cha will be painting in his unique, self-termed "Adlib Aesthetics" style using spray paint on three separate canvases for 12 straight hours. Chase identifies first and foremost as a performance artist experimenting in durational aesthetics. Stop by the Library Courtyard to watch him create artwork that will be on display in his Parrott Gallery exhibition “This Mid-Life Crisis” later this year.

To begin, participants will learn the art of seeing how to look at a flower and observe both its beauty and its complexity. By learning the botanical names of all parts of a flower and identifying them, participants will see how all the components of a single flower fit together to create and sustain its life. Then participants will learn how to translate what they see into paper.
