Private Reuben Pearce

Vintage Film Festival
Cameco Capitol Arts Centre 20 Queen St, Port HopeThe 31st annual Vintage Film Festival in Port Hope celebrates great directors. The movies on this year’s program span more than half a century (from 1921 to 1974) and a range of genres: musical, suspense, comedy (including black comedy and screwball comedy), crime, melodrama, western and neo-noir. They also include two silent films, which will be accompanied live on the piano by VFF favourite Jordan Klapman.

Steve Patterson is … Patterdad
Stirling Festival Theatre 41 West Front St., StirlingMany Canadians recognize the name Steve Patterson. He’s been a crowd favourite since his first Just for Laughs Gala appearance back in 2004 and as host of the long-running hit show The Debaters on CBC since 2007.
But what they may not know is how Patterson’s perceptions have shifted since he became a dad to two precocious daughters. Those new perceptions are on grand display in his new show which picks up on the themes introduced in his popular book published by Penguin Random House Canada in 2021, “Dad Up!”
