The community of Brighton, in eastern Ontario, is surrounded by rich agricultural land with an abundance of apple orchards and roadside farmers' stalls. To bear witness to the bountiful apple harvest at the height of the harvesting season, Brighton celebrates its annual Applefest festival over the last full weekend of September. Join us as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary in 2024!

Paper Wild Rose Workshop

County Arts Lab 206 Main Street, Unit 2E, Picton

In this course, participants aged 18+ with all levels of creativity will learn the skills needed to create a highly realistic paper wild rose. To begin, participants will learn the art of seeing how to look at a flower and observe both its beauty and its complexity. By learning the botanical names of all parts of a flower and identifying them, participants will see how all the components of a single flower fit together to create and sustain its life. Then participants will learn how to translate what they see into paper.
