Port Hope Candlelight Festival Kickoff

The Candlelight Festival is an annual holiday experience. We invite you to come and explore the seasonal transformation of Port Hope that kicks off on November 29th with activities for the whole family. The Candlelight Festival Walk starts at 6:00pm
and the Park Lighting Ceremony in Memorial Park follows at 6:30pm.

The Virginia Opossum (Didelphis virginiana) is North America's sole marsupial. Often viewed as nuisance animals, they possess remarkable traits that make them fascinating! They’ve survived since the age of dinosaurs, proving their worth and ability to adapt! Jennifer Peaslee will give us a small degree of insight into their value and uniqueness and, hopefully, foster some appreciation for this easy-going animal.
