Kids Creation Club 2: Pattern and Surface Design

Join designer Amanda Smith to look at pattern and surface design using natural materials!
Young designers will learn about shapes and motifs, repetition, and the basics of the elements of design through various surface design activities with nature-based materials. Amanda will guide the kids on an exploration of drawing, painting, hand-dying and block printing/stamping all as ways of creating surface design.
From pressing flowers to making leaf prints, kids will learn both about patterns found in nature and how to use natural elements to create their own designs! Kids will have the chance to make their own patterns and designs on paper, fabric, and more!
Sliding scale pricing: $62.50 to $125 for 5 weeks, plus materials fee. Kids and youth bursaries available.
