Colour is one of the most appealing aspects of painting, but getting the colour just right can be a challenge. How do you choose your palette? How do you mix your colours? In this course, participants will begin by learning about the various qualities of colour, including value, hue, chroma, and temperature.
In this course for beginning drawers, Artist Instructor Irene Götz will introduce participants to a range of fundamental drawing skills and techniques. Through a combination of visual examples, lessons, and exercises, participants will practice contour drawing, gesture drawing, composition, drawing the human form, and perspective.
Back by popular demand – explore and experience the magic of songwriting with Megan Hutton! In this 6-week workshop, participants will learn the fundamentals of songwriting through a mix of instructional lectures and engaging activities. They will learn how to identify the various components of a song, write compelling melodies and lyrics, and use rhyme schemes.
Join County Arts for the official launch event for their new Indigenous Voices Series - In Conversation with Jennifer Podemski and Shelby Lisk: The Arts as a Platform for Indigenous Storytelling and Activism. Entry is free or by donation, with all proceeds going to Tsi Tyónnheht Onkwawén:na (TTO), a non-profit dedicated to revitalizing Kanyen’kehá:ka/Mohawk language and culture in Tyendinaga.

From drama games to warm-ups, memorization, rehearsing, costumes, and more, participants will learn how to prepare and put on a short holiday-themed variety show for their families to enjoy during the last class.
